MBE playground opens to students and the community

On September 1, MBE held a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Dr. Barlow, Principal McCombs, Vice Principal Aaron and plenty of excited MBE students and staff. The red ribbon was cut, students cheered, and doughnuts were served. Designed by Kompan, one of the world’s top playground suppliers, the new playground is multifunctional and each piece is ADA accessible. The new space is designed to promote problem solving, team building, science, engineering and, of course, a lot of fun! In addition, to new play pieces, the playground offers wheelchair ramp access, refurbished amphitheater/outdoor classroom, revitalized nature trail, new four square courts, updated basketball court, new border fencing and a commemorative brick pathway honoring financial supporters. The playground is open to the public after 5 p.m. each weekday when after-school care is over and all day on the weekends. The MBE community invites you to come check it out.
