MBE visits Montgomery

MBE third graders recently took a field trip to Montgomery.

Especially exciting was the fact that the House was in session, and students were escorted to the balcony to view the proceedings on the Senate Floor. Lieutenant Governor Kay Ivey, President and Presiding Officer of the Senate, interrupted the session to welcome the third grade students and recognized that Senator Slade Blackwell's son, Colby, was in attendance that day (twin brother Grant's class had come earlier in the week).
