Mountain Brook Schools cancel after-school activities due to weather

In an email to parents this afternoon, Mountain Brook City Schools said all after-school activities, including extended day programs, will be canceled due to the potential weather problems.

The school day will continue on as planned, however. 

"Regarding early dismissal, we are in direct contact with the weather experts, and they are assuring us that even though there may be some snowfall around dismissal time, roads will be wet and there should not be any travel problems at dismissal time," Director of Student Services Dale Wisely said in the email. "We believe that the best action at this time is to continue school through our regular dismissal times."
