New spaces and opportunities continue growing at BWF

Like every other aspect of Brookwood Forest Elementary, PTO funding should always reflect BWF’s beliefs of:

► Student engagement

► Relationships

► Teachers as learners

After spending four years primarily transitioning common spaces to better reflect these beliefs, last year BWF began a new phase of targeting authentic learning opportunities to complement these spaces. Principal Nathan Pitner and Assistant Principal Christy Christian listened to and collaborated with teachers, parents and students in designing exciting new opportunities for BWF. Thanks to the BWF, PTO funding BWF has been able to bring these ideas to life, allowing students to grow both inside and outside. BWF PTO provided funds for an outdoor learning lab, expanded STEM lab, nonfiction classroom libraries, 3-D printer, an eco water fountain, and various technologies such as robotics, coding materials, Chromebooks and other personal devices.
