Genevieve Doucet, a second grade student at Highlands School and daughter of Chris and Suzette Doucet of Mountain Brook, won second place in the second grade category for her submission in the Dream Architecture Contest. Each participant had to design their dream neighborhood with all the special features only a child could imagine. Originally started as a community outreach program to promote public awareness of architecture, this contest has grown from 100 entries in the first year to more than 1,000 last year.

The Awards Ceremony was held on May 3 at Architecture Works/SawWorks Studio. Genevieve received art supplies and architectural gifts in recognition of her achievement. One of the sponsors of the 15th Annual Dream Architecture Contest is Giattina Aycock Studios.
