Highlands students Skype with Astronaut Fred Haise

On Monday, April 2, Highlands students from preschool through eighth grade had the opportunity to have a skype session with Astronaut Fred Haise.  Mr. Haise was one of the Apollo 13 astronauts.  Students asked Mr. Haise questions about his personal experience in space, as well as questions about the planets and the future of space travel. 

The chat was an amazing experience for Highlands students to be able to use technology to communicate and to learn from a very special American who has had a very unique and exciting career that many of us can only dream about.

Highlands students learned so much and were very grateful to have the chance to "meet" Fred Haise.
