Lady Spartans advance to area final Friday

The Mountain Brook Lady Spartans advanced to the Class 7A, Area 6 final by beating Vestavia Hills 74-36 behind Sara Carr's 27 points.

Carr added 10 rebounds.

Mountain Brook will face host Spain Park at 7 p.m. Friday.

Mountain Brook's boys and girls indoor track teams will be competing in the state championships at Birmingham CroosPlex on Friday and Saturday.
