Mountain Brook opens season Thursday night

Mountain Brook opens the regular season with a road game at Huntsville on Thursday night. Kickoff is 7 p.m. 

The game will be televised as part of Raycom’s Thursday night high school football package. It will be carried on BRC 6.2, Fox 6’s alternate channel, in Birmingham.

The Spartans are led by quarterback Jacob Carroll, who is entering his third season as a starter. Wide receiver Drew Odum is a threat receiving and on kick returns. Linebacker George Eagan is one of six starters back on defense and is a team leader.
