Mountain Brook sending 5 to state wrestling tournament

Mountain Brook will send five wrestlers to the AHSAA state wrestling tournament, this weekend at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville.

Drew Reed competes in the 132 pound division, and advanced to state by winning the Class 7A North Super Section last weekend at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

Frank Brown placed fourth at Super Section to advance to state in the 138 pound ranks.

Cole Holmes won three of his four matches at Super Section, finishing in third place in the 152 pound division.

The same goes for Robert Randolph, as he won three of his four contests last weekend and finished third in the 160 pound bracket.

Finally, Thomas Byrne will compete in the 182 pound division, as he was declared winner in four matches at Super Section.

Mountain Brook competes in Class 7A, and they will compete Friday and Saturday.
