Seventh-grade basketball wins holiday tournament

The Mountain Brook Junior High School seventh-grade boys’ basketball team went undefeated in the War on the Wood Tournament at North Jefferson Middle School recently.  

The Spartans won the championship game when Lior Berman sank a three-pointer at the buzzer, giving the team a one-point win over Irondale. Colton Yeager was named tournament MVP, and Ben Garrett was named to the All-Tournament Team. The seventh-grade team is coached by Bruce Henricks and Zach Skipper.
