Spartans play in state semifinals Thursday at 8:30 p.m.

The Mountain Brook Spartans are two wins away from claiming the Class 7A boys state basketball championship to go with the back-to-back 6A titles they now own.

The Spartans (25-7) take on Theodore (28-4) of Mobile on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 8:30 p.m. at Legacy Arena at the BJCC.

The game time was pushed back one hour from the original schedule. All games at the BJCC will be delayed by one hour due to expected poor road conditions in the morning.

If they win, they'll be shooting for a threepeat on Saturday night at 7 p.m. They would face the winner of Hoover (25-9) vs. Robert E. Lee (29-3) of Montgomery. Those teams now play at 5:30 on Thursday.
