Spartans to host Jags

The Mountain Brook Spartans host Spain Park Friday night, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. with playoff berth implications on the line.

The Spartans (3-5 overall, 3-3 Class 7A, Region 3) have lost two in a row, but if they win tonight and Hoover beats Hewitt-Trussville, they should be in even if Tuscaloosa County beats Vestavia Hills. If MBHS and Tuscaloosa County finish 4-3, the Spartans win the tiebreaker by virtue of a win over the Wildcats.
