Spring has come to a close, and summer is in full swing. That means one thing for young baseball and softball players: long days spent at the ballpark, matching the best the Brook has to offer against all of metro Birmingham. All star baseball features the best players in their respective age groups from rec league. This year, there are 14 teams, ranging from age 7 to age 12. These teams are coached by dedicated dads, and are playing in tournaments throughout the fi rst half of the summer. Featured below are just some of the many kids enjoying summer ball.
