Snap Kids doesn’t just have shoppers, they have models. Whether it’s walking the white carpet or posing in pictures on the wall, it’s the customers who show off the shop’s young style.
“All the girls you see on the wall are local Mountain Brook girls,” said manager Natalie Babington of the smiling patrons posing in frames.
Babington divulged that the store would soon be adding a photo booth so shoppers could potentially become a “Snap Girl” and take a fun picture home.
As for the white carpet, it gets rolled out when Snap Kids hosts a birthday party. Birthday parties at the store include fun activities for the guests such as fashion shows, shopping, getting their nails and makeup done and making T-shirts.
The T-shirts shoppers can make are applique shirts that feature letters, shapes and colors all of the customer’s choice.
“Girls can do as much or as little as they want,” Babington said.
Snap Kids came to Crestline Village in 2009 when owner Leah Bentley decided to open one of her stores in Birmingham fulfilling requests from customers at her Nashville store.
Since then, Snap Kids has thrived providing clothes for Mountain Brook’s young girls and tweens. The store carries sizes 2T-16 and consistently stays on top of the latest trends.
“We get in new things all the time,” Babington said. “A day we don’t get something new in is unusual.”
Snap Kids is dedicated to providing a combination of style and comfort for their shoppers.
“Girls want bright colors and fun details, like necklaces that glow in the dark,” Babington said. At the end of the day, they want to look good and still be wearing something they can move around in.”
The shop features popular women’s designers who also produce lines for young customers. Designers such as Ella Moss, J Brand, Splendid and 7 for All Mankind can be found on the shelves of the store.
As back to school shopping season arrives, Snap Kids is ready. It will host back to school parties that will be fun for parents and daughters alike. Events will feature refreshments, music and door prizes. Additionally, the shop is participating in Crestline’s Tent Sale on Aug. 25.
