Speakers for the event are:
- Dr. Dan Dahl, a Birmingham psychiatrist who received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, has practiced for 23 years and serves on the Board for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Dahl, who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, will address depression in all age groups. He will discuss the medical side of depression and treatment including neurobiology, treatments and adolescent medicine.
- Lulu Null, 47, is a mother of four who lives in Mountain Brook. Diagnosed with depression in 1985 and bipolar disorder in 2005, she will tell her story of what it feels like to be depressed and how she survived suicide attempts and side effects of medications.
