Episcopal Place Gumbo Gala

The Episcopal Place Gumbo Gala is one of the largest gumbo cook-offs among the Gulf states and was named as Birmingham's "Best Outdoor Festival in 2012" by readers of al.com and The Birmingham News. Professional and backyard teams will cook and serve gumbo and compete for prizes in 14 gumbo categories. Guests can sample gumbo and enjoy live music, theme-related craft and vendor booths with a focus on Alabama products, family entertainment and activities, and food and beverage vendors. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the gate, and children 12 and under are admitted free.
