Sargent Al Eason is one of many officers in the Mountain Brook Police Department who work to keep the city safe.
Mountain Brook was recently ranked as the second safest city in Alabama by Movoto, a real estate research website. The site looked at places with populations over 10,000 and then ranked them based on FBI crime statistics from 2012.
No murders were reported in Mountain Brook in 2012, and it had the lowest violent crime rate in the state according to the figures. A slightly higher property crime rate, putting it at the number three lowest in the state, ranked it just below Helena overall.
