Ollie Irene in Mountain Brook Village has been named one of 29 semifinalists for the James Beard Award for Best New Restaurant.
Mountain Brook native Chris Newsome and Anna Lakovitch opened the restaurant in August in the former Pianeta 3 and Browdy’s location.
Finalists for the award will be announced on March 19; the winner will be announced May 7.
