Ashley Martin, animal control officer for the City of Mountain Brook, is resigning this week.
“We will miss the spark and enthusiasm she has brought to the City of Mountain Brook,” said a post on the Mountain Brook Animal Control Facebook page. “We wish her and her family nothing but the best as they begin this new chapter in their lives.”
Multiple residents commented on the Facebook page, expressing their gratitude of Martin and saying they will miss her.
For the time being, the position of animal control officer will be vacant as the city works to staff the position. Anyone with an animal-related emergency or complaint can call the police department at 802-2414.
