Mountain Brook Elementary held its annual Geography Bee at the end of January, with fourth- through sixth-graders participating.
Sixth-grader Cowan Moorer secured a first-place finish. It was a great competition with Carter Colvin placing second and Ann Tillery Moak placing third. Fifth-grade teacher Bill Andrews was the faculty sponsor for this event. Cowan Moorer has a talent for “bees,” as he was also the winner of the MBE Spelling Bee in November. His sister, fourth-grader McCarley Moorer, placed second.
