Jacob Carroll led the aerial assault of his Mountain Brook Spartans in their 15-14 comeback win over Buckhorn.
Facing a 14-0 deficit in the first half, Carroll torched the Bucks for 246 yards and two touchdowns, including a spectacular 72-yard game winning pass to Hunter Branch in the fourth quarter.
One of the game's critical plays came late in the first half, as the Spartans staged a goal line stand. Andrew Autrey's interception at the Mountain Brook one-yard-line kept Buckhorn out of the end zone and probably made the victory possible.
