Mountain Brook Football 2014
The Mountain Brook Spartans have a big game on the road against the Oak Mountain Eagles (5-1, 3-1) at Heardmont Park on Friday at 7 p.m.
Last week the Spartans (3-3, 3-1 Class 7A, Region 3) bounced back from a heartbreaking last-second loss to James Clemens with a big win over region foe Tuscaloosa County 31-24 in double-overtime on Oct. 2.
John Eagan’s 10-yard run in the second overtime proved to be the winner as the Spartans defense held the Wildcats on four downs to seal the win. Quarterback Jacob Carroll rushed for 113 yards on 26 carries and scored two touchdowns.
