Gardendale MBHS Basketball Game 2014
Mountain Brook defeated Gardendale in the sub-regional game.
The Spartans are now officially on their way to the state finals. The No. 1-ranked Mountain Brook High School Varsity Basketball team defeated Grissom in the AHSAA basketball Northeast Regional game to win the title Friday. The final score was 55-47.
Next up, the Spartans will take on Carver-Montgomery Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 1:30 p.m. at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex.
Earlier in the regional tournament held at Jacksonville State University, Mountain Brook defeated No. 6 Lee-Huntsville 72-60.
Last Friday, the Spartans defeated Gardendale by 27 points in the sub-regional game.
The state finals are scheduled for Feb. 25-March 1.
